ACADEMY

Three women gather around DJ equipment, with one woman wearing a Brazilian national soccer team jersey, listening to music or DJing together.
A woman with long dark hair wearing a zebra-print top and yellow skirt is using DJ equipment, while a smiling person with curly hair wearing glasses and a black t-shirt stands next to her, both appearing to enjoy the music.
A woman with curly blonde hair is DJing with a professional DJ controller on a table, surrounded by people. She is focused on mixing music, with one hand on the controller and wearing casual summer clothing. Two women are watching, one in a white tank top and brown loose pants, the other in yellow shorts, with various items and drinks on the table behind them.

Sahra Academy is an initiative by Sahra dedicated to empowering new voices in electronic music.

We create free workshops and learning spaces that invite FLINTA—with a focus on BIPOC and artists from the SWANA region—to explore the art of DJing and music production.

Since launching a few months ago, Sahra Academy has hosted multiple FLINTA-only DJ workshops, offering hands-on training in a supportive, community-driven environment. Each participant gets the chance to learn, practice, and, as they grow, perform live at a Sahra event—bringing their sound to a real audience.

Our vision is to build a full program that not only teaches technical skills but also provides mentorship, guidance, and opportunities to navigate the music industry. From learning how to DJ to developing as an artist and securing gigs, Sahra Academy is here to make space, share knowledge, and help emerging talents take their first steps into the scene.
